  • Volunteer at the booth and help break down the booth and supplies when finished.

  • We need a volunteer with a vehicle capable of loading out our booth supplies and delivering them to FH Steinbart's on Sunday or later as they close Saturday at 4 PM. Think about the security of items left in vehicle overnight.

The booth volunteers will help you break everything down and load the vehicle. A midsize (or greater) SUV or pick-up truck should be able to handle everything, which will include:

    - Folding table (optional) - might not be OBC's)
    - Folding canopy (optional - might not be OBC's)
    - Booth supplies (in gray cargo box)
    - Pilot system - See the supply list that in the booklet

Whoever does this will receive a $40 gift certificate to Steinbart's instead of the mug and tokens for the fest, along with a lot of gratitude!

OBC will have our info booth at the Oregon Brewers Festival (OBF) for all four days and we need your help to staff the booth and tell people about the joys of homebrewing!  We also have slots every day for beer demos, so if you sign up for one of them, be prepared to brew (see more below).  The booth staffing job is simple: hang out at the booth, drink some beer, and answer questions about OBC and homebrewing in general.  We also want to get people to sign-up on our contact list so we can reach out to them about OBC and encourage them to join.
On the day of your shift, enter at any gate and show ID so you can get a wrist band in order to be able to drink.  Volunteer check-in is at the south end of the park near the Morrison Bridge.  Look for the big sign that says "volunteers", and tell them you are on a special list for the OBC booth.   Get your tickets and mug when you check in.  Our booth is going to be on the west side of the park.  If you have been there in the past, you will be surprised to see the beer trailers are now on the east side this year.

For volunteering, you will receive a festival mug and tasting tickets.  You are permitted to drink during your shift.  This is a great opportunity to talk to people who love beer and tell them all about brewing and the benefits of joining OBC.  It is best if the people who staff the booth are members because friends and family might not know enough about us.  But I will create some talking points if you would like to have them handy.  All the supplies will be set up for you and we just ask those who do the last shift of the day to store things for the night.

We really want to have a brewing demo or two, so sign up then please and then contact: michele.lish@oregonbrewcrew.org to discuss your plans about equipment, if you are brewing alone, etc.  We would like to have brewing demos on one or two days... your choice of day and start time.  You can even use the OBC pilot system for this, and will receive a mug, tokens, and your ingredients cost will be covered (up to $50).  We just ask that you bring the beer to a meeting to share, but you can keep a good portion of it for your time and effort. Clean up is a part of the process.
